San Francisco, CA
This project consisted of a two-story rear addition to a single-family home in Bernal Heights. In order to preserve the finishes at the existing portion of the house and to fit the client’s budget, the addition was designed as a stand-alone, structurally independent building to avoid having to do a full seismic upgrade of the existing structure. Other structurally significant items included glass flooring and a custom steel and wood interior staircase.
