Reimagined Ranch House

This project was a complete renovation of a single-family home in Saratoga, CA. The interior was fully remodeled to create a new great room, master suite, and two secondary bedrooms and bathrooms. Large openings were added at the front and rear walls to accommodate new windows and folding glass doors. The existing building was seismically upgraded with new plywood shear walls as part of the remodel, and a new structurally-independent entry porch was added, which utilizes cantilevered steel columns for lateral support.
